  1. Oh, hadn't heard of that yet, but with a 45% reduction in file size from PNG, I'm already a fan. Hope it gains support! Thanks for sharing, Loc. It's so interesting to see newer formats – these 3 are so old! It makes sense that new technology would grant us better compression techniques.

    Speaking of newer file formats, have you heard about GFY? It's interesting – though some argue it's not a different file format. It gets too technical for me to determine for myself what it is exactly, if it's not a file format.

  2. By the way, if you read through the whole article, you may have seen a misstatement down at the bottom when they said that GIF files are "Not a good option for logos". Clearly, they copied and pasted from the JPG row!

    I wrote them and do hope they update it, and another typo that I spotted in there. Oh well – if you're not releasing an article early, you're too late so even with typos and misstatements, it's good to get the info out there!
