I really like the idea of writing a list of the 6 most important things to do every night for the next day. AWESOME.

I tend to write 3 if I know I need to finish things, but I should make that list a regular practice.

  1. Yes, Margie, it's so easy to get to thinking all this lasts forever when it really doesn't. I really really do like the list idea. I noticed I made better lists for the next day, but hearing it from someone else really does inspire me to be more diligent with my "to do" lists.

    Proctologist? Hehe – Oz! :-p
    😉

  2. The other thing I like about the Franklin Covey planner is that you can assign different tasks to different days so that you don't end up overloading a day and making it too daunting. Just put what you're really going to get done on each day and space out your tasks so you get the top priorities done that day and maybe a few extra little tasks. That way if you have time to do more, you can, as well as feeling really good about it. I try to assign the big tasks to each day of the week starting each Sunday. That way I can plan my week and not be looking at one huge list every day. If I end up knocking out something ahead of time, I end up with more free time do deal with what just comes up.
