Prema Meditation

By Jean, March 17, 2008 3:48 pm

Last Friday I went to a Prema Meditation class and it was so interesting, I have to share it. The class is small (7 people total) ~ The teacher (Norman), the ’student teacher’, another experienced Prema Meditation person, and 3 other students besides myself. Continue reading 'Prema Meditation'»

I don’t know this person directly, but would like to share his talent with people I know. He was born to draw! Amazing. Here’s what the filmmaker says: Continue reading 'Stephen Wiltshire'»

Pizza making at a well known supermarket…

By Jean, March 13, 2008 12:50 pm

I’ve mentioned to everyone that my hubby started working at a well known supermarket as a pizza maker. (Names withheld to protect both parties!) It didn’t turn out to be the job that he thought it would be. It’s more heavy lifting and cleaning and stuff like that. He said the percentage of time that he actually gets to make pizzas is around 10%. Yikes. Continue reading 'Pizza making at a well known supermarket…'»

Abbie

By Jean, March 9, 2008 6:26 pm

I have a few minutes, and would like to share a wonderful person with you. Her name is Abbie. She has been an inspiration to so many people! When she was 3, she drowned and her prognosis was bleak. She is 6 now and she’s been amazing people every day. Here’s a link to her site: www.prayforabby.com Continue reading 'Abbie'»

Optical Illusions

By Jean, February 9, 2008 9:34 pm

You could get lost with all the interesting stuff on the internet. I’ll be sharing some site pages that I’ve enjoyed and want to share, or at least have reference to for myself. (Yes, I’m clearing off my desktop.) Continue reading 'Optical Illusions'»

eCommerce

By Jean, January 28, 2008 9:31 pm

I’m just now looking into an eCommerce solution through WordPress. It looks like it may not be as difficult as it looks. You’ll see my site will have products that I’ll be “selling”. This is only for testing purposes. I will not be selling any products, but am testing out the software for a couple clients of mine that actually do have products and want online stores!

A Gaping Need: Electric Conversions

By Jean, January 25, 2008 11:06 pm

Here’s a somewhat long-winded explanation of why I am interested in doing electric car conversions. (At some point, this page will contain steps I’ve taken with my conversions!) Enjoy! Continue reading 'A Gaping Need: Electric Conversions'»

Firefox vs Safari (on Mac)

By Jean, January 23, 2008 5:21 pm

Well after pulling my hair out, I have determined that it is better to write and edit WordPress posts in Firefox rather than Safari. It appears as though the return key does not register in Safari, which causes all my intended paragraphs to be clumped into one big, ugly, hard-to-read paragraph. In Firefox, however, it behaves well. So, if I intend on continuing to add to this, Firefox will be my browser/editor of choice.

Can I post a blog for the future?

By Jean, January 23, 2008 12:56 pm

If I can figure out how to change the date of the blog posts, I can utilize the calendar for appointments and special events. This could prove to be helpful. This will allow clients of mine to use this software for scheduling workshops and sharing it with their clients. Otherwise, it’s ineffective. We’ll see. Ooo… looks like I can. I like it. Hello World!

By Jean, January 22, 2008 7:19 am

Well this is pretty damned cool. I just didn’t expect this blogging stuff to be this easy! I want to share this with the world! (How to install a blog, not my blog.) I thought this would be hours of hair-pulling but alas, the 5 minute install of WordPress really was 5 minutes. (Maybe even less!) Wow. I’m just astounded. Continue reading 'Hello World!'»
